Day 291

What I love: Uh, today was kind of a weird day where I got to speak to the police twice.  The first time I set off the alarm at school and the second, my husband opened the AED box.  The most priceless moment were these words, "I just barely touched it!  It was an accident!"  Oh the look on his face.  I cried and ended the day at a great Halloween party so I guess it ended well.

August & September in Review

Oh man guys, I honestly can't believe that I've kept going with this and that I just posted 2 1/2 months worth of paintings.  Good luck getting through all 62 of them.  I'm all caught up and here are both August & September all in one nice, neat little post.

Day 290

What I love: Decorating for fabulous halloween parties with pretty cool people.

Day 289

What I love: That pumpkin season is upon us and I get to eat delicious pumpkin donuts.

Day 288

What I love: My computer that makes my life so much easier to keep myself entertained during long meetings.

Day 287

What I love: How simple this picture is and how simple I wish my life could be, but I love coming home to spend time with my husband on a day like this one.

Day 286

What I love: Taking pictures by my oven?  Hah!  This building and this day were pretty amazing.  I love long weekends where I finally get a break to breath!

Day 285

What I love: Wonderful secretaries that rescue me and let me in to the school to get all of my things on a four day weekend.

Day 284

What I love: I love chocolate chip pancakes and having a billion people fit inside my little apartment and how cozy it felt.  I do not love locking myself out of my classroom.  Thank goodness the husband had a key!

Day 283

What I love: Celebrating this girl's birthday.  Delicous Italian and a delicious cake, with fabulous friends.

Day 282

What I love: Finding creative ways to motivate children.  This however, made my day kind of difficult, but I'm grateful for parents who show up right in the nick of time.

Day 281

What I love: Short Wednesdays are so lovely.

Day 280

What I love: Trying to recreate a really awful, ugly painting that I hate in my doctor's office downtown.  It's just really awful.  I mean, I made this look better than that.

Day 279

This is what it feels like to be in a meeting.
What I love: Working with really incredibly talented educators.

Day 278

What I love: I love conference weekend in the burbs with the in-laws.  I love snuggling up with family and watching General Conference together.

Day 277

What I love: Apple picking again, and this adorable kid!

Day 276

What I love: Dates with the husband.  I didn't really love Eataly, but I did love this hazelnut dessert.

Day 275

What I love: Visiting a friend to help and getting to hold her little baby girl.

Day 274

What I love: Yes, I know it's not correctly done, but I love decorating for Halloween with pink skeletons.

Day 273

What I love: Avocado season.  One stroke paintings are kind of tough to do, but I'm liking the effect.

Day 272

What I love: Delicious hamburgers and tons of people in a tiny little corner of the restaurant.  Also, I love going downtown to see the husband.

Day 271

What I love: Making Halloween decorations during church with the kids.

Day 270

What I love: That this wonderful, beautiful lady decided to be baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She is one amazing lady.

Day 269

What I love: One stroke paintings and hot fudge sundaes with friends.

Day 268

What I love: The husband's Zen Buddhism class that inspired me to do one stroke paintings.

Day 267

What I love: Giant cookies from Potbelly.

Day 266

What I love: Mmmmmm chili.

Day 265

What I love: Strange cats at Thai restaurants.  I love thai food.

Day 264

What I love: Old friends coming to visit and picking raspberries. :)

Day 263

What I love: Apple picking with my family.  I love apples and I LOVE FALL!

Day 262

What I love: Talk like a pirate day with little kids is hilarious.  ARRRR!

Day 261

What I love: Reading nonsense words with martian masks.  It was hilarious.  Sometimes I like teaching.

Day 260

What I love: How many times can I tell you how much I love the Garfield Conservatory.  They have the coolest flowers.  I love hanging out with friends and little boys birthday parties.

Day 259

What I love: Going grocery shopping with the husband.  He keeps stealing my Aldi quarter.  So I made him get me 4 of them and I hid them all over the car.  He was so funny today and made a really stressful day seem less bad.

Day 258

What I love: Crazy abstract paintings because I can.

Day 257

What I love: Seriously, I love drawing in church.

Day 256

The fairy is mine and the Derby Queen the husband may have embellished a bit.

What I love: Drawing during church with my pre-teen friend.

Day 255

What I love: Cuddling up on the chaise and watching a movie while eating donuts.  I love donuts.

Day 254

What I love: Hanging out on my chaise after a long day at work.

Day 253

What I love: Hot dogs with friends.  It was a long drive, but a good one, and a delicious hot dog!

Day 252

What I love: Is that a light I see at the end of the tunnel of work?  Probably not, but I love that I have a job.

Day 251

What I love: Girl's Night and this Texas Sheet Cake that was the most delicious cake.  I wish I could eat this cake all the time, for every meal, and not be incredibly ill afterwards.

Day 250

What I love: These meatballs were delicious!  I love that other people eat meat and I get to benefit.

Day 249

What I love: Hanging out with family, and even though I can't really beat the husband up, his sister still can!

Day 248

What I love: That we fit a family of 5 and a family of 2 at the same kitchen table.  I LOVE LIVING IN MORE THAN 233 SQUARE FEET!

Day 247

What I love: My student who came around the corner saying, "No one's in here Mom!" and coming around the corner to see him standing there.  It was a nerve-wracking day, but a good one.

Day 246

What I love: Going downtown and getting Potbellies and seeing Noah in his new studio.

Day 245

What I love: Right now, not work, but I do love painting weird abstract things.  Just think, if I hadn't come here, you may have never seen this painting.  I guess it's worth it then.
